K-Botics has had a great time mentoring several FLL teams this year. We have worked with school teams and community teams. We’ve created mini challenges and competitions, and have opened our doors at K-Botics for tours.
Several K-Bot mentored teams competed in the Kingston Qualifying Tournament 2013 held at Queen’s University in December. Many K-Bots were on hand as refs and volunteers to help the event run smoothly.
Team 1895, Team High Tech, is an all girls rookie team. We have eight girls on our team, three adult coaches and three high school mentors from our robotics team 2809. The girls on our team worked well and came together at our Kingston regional to qualify for provincials in January. We came second place in the Kingston regional with the second place performance award. We look forward to provincials.
Kingston Qualifying Tournament 2011
We had a great time on December 3rd at our FLL tournament. Eight excited FLL teams competed in the Food Factor challenge.
Along with the fierce competition on the game tables, we had lots of great music and dancing.
Everyone had a great time, including our referees!
Congratulations to the two teams, the W.A.F.F.L.E.S. and Lancaster Roarbotics for qualifying for Provincials. We wish you all the best.
