We spent time tonight working all the bugs out. We have an intake mechanism that works, a robot that drives, a camera that sees, and a way to get the ball up over the truss or into the goal.

We made a set of practice bumpers for our second robot. We’re still not sure which robot will be at competition, so we’re trying hard to make them identical twins.

We had a demo at the Grade 8 parent night. We enjoy this chance to recruit new members and spread the word of our team. For some of our members they were introduced to our team when they came as grade 8s.

New hats are showing up these days. As the robot building slows down, the idle hands are taught to knit. Pretty soon we’ll be in the warehouse, building a field, testing the robot, practicing driving and working with the other Kingston robotics teams, the WAFFLES and the Cyberfalcons.
