K-Bots were wearing purple today, and biking for a good cause. We participated in KCVI’s Inside Ride. This is the first time that our school has been involved, and it sure was fun!
The day was a fundraiser for charities for kids living with, and living beyond cancer. Our inside ride at KCVI was dedicated to Carly, our own cancer fighter. She’s a champion! At an Inside Ride, teams of 6 ride stationary bikes for an hour, 10 minutes per person. Each team comes up with a name, and costume. For us, that was easy! We all have tonnes of matching purple. It was a very loud hour of biking. Music was so loud that classes upstairs changed rooms! We danced while biking! After a few minutes though, we realized that biking is really hard work….We cheered everyone on to make sure that they completed their 10 minutes. Although it wasn’t a race, we all wanted to go far.In total today our K-Botics team brought in over $300, and the whole KCVI event raised over $8000.
