It’s back to school, and back to robots! The veteran K-Botics members met today to prepare for next week when we will welcome grade 9s and other new members to our team.
It is so nice to see everyone’s smiling face, and hear their good ideas for this season. We’re going to be busy!
We inspected our robots from the past two seasons. They both seem to be in working order–ready to impress all the grade 9s next week.
We are making a big effort to increase our programming skills this year, thanks to the support of our programming mentors.
It was great to have one of our newest mentors (a 2809 alumni), Alex, with us. He came directly from Frosh Week activities at Queen’s University. That’s why his hair is looking particularly awesome!
We’re hosting an FLL tournament this fall, competing in the school board SKILLS competition as a warm up for our FIRST build season. We’re working closely with several new FLL teams and their coaches, and trying to make a difference in our community.
We are gearing up for what appears to be an excellent season. We welcome you to join us!
