Today we met for a multipurpose meeting. Our kicker needed a bit of retensioning to bring it back to top form for our upcoming demos.
We are working on a re-design of our lab space so we can store our tools and generally use the space better. This was a perfect opportunity to work on our measuring and our CAD skills! We gathered today and measured all major room dimensions, table dimensions, current cupboard dimensions and will work from here to make an overall plan of the room.
Today we also started looking at how to program our robot, and how to teach more students these skills. We’re very thankful to our mentor Tom who worked out a simulation mode for us to practice with.
We also found out that one of our graduating team mates will be staying in town to go to Queen’s University, and becoming a mentor with K-Botics, and another one of our graduating mentors will be staying in town to go to Queen’s University as a masters student and will be mentoring with us once more! We are so thankful to the support of Queen’s University, and our student mentors.
