In May K-Botics is planning to participate in KCVI’s Relay For Life. Relay For Life is an event to raise money for cancer research and raise awareness for cancer; to celebrate those who are cancer survivors, and to remember those who have passed away. The event goes from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Friday May 28th.
This is the first Relay For Life that K-Botics has attended as a team. We are going to do a demo of our robot and inform people about about our wonderful group. We are asking friends and family to pledge us money to stay up and active all night.
Some of the activities will include:
- the annual obstacle course
- a news paper fashion show
- a 3 in the morning talent show
We have all been asked why we relay:
“It helps the fight against cancer and it is fun!” – Henry (grade 12)
“It is important to support those who are battling cancer, and their family and friends” -Ms. Bearse (mentor)
Why not get your FRC team involved too–Look for your local Relay For Life, and sign up!
