Working Hard at Transformix

Our weekend at Transformix Engineering was very productive.  After 11 hours of hard work we are now about 70% done the machining of our robot parts.  We learned lots of new skills like drilling, milling, turning, and how to keep our fingers safe.

Todd, a Transformix employee, taught Kaley and John how to use the precision milling equipment.  It was excellent to have such a skilled teacher.

Colin and his dad used the lathe to make spacers for our robot.

Mike, a Queen’s University Mentor, worked with Brennan to cut holes in our robot parts to make it lighter.

Look at that metal fly!
