Welcome to the digital home of K-Botics, FRC team 2809 from Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

K-Botics is an extracurricular program at Kingston Collegiate and Vocational Institute where students design and build a robot from scratch to participate in a game created by FIRST. The game, which changes every year, is not only played by hundreds of robotics teams from around the world, it is also the training ground for the engineers of the future.
FIRST is an international organization that was founded in hopes of inspiring young people to pursue a field in engineering. The ultimate goal is “to transform culture, making science, math, engineering and technology as cool for kids as sports are today.”
Our team was founded in the fall of 2008, and despite the steep learning curve of being a rookie, we managed to do very well in our competitions, making it to the Championships in Atlanta. Since then we have increased our membership, and had an impact on local FLL teams and the Kingston community.
Of course, none of this could be possible without our generous sponsors, our dedicated mentors and our teachers at KCVI. Thanks to everyone who has helped prepare us for the future!
